• Hold the tester properly:

  • For mounted stones: Hold the jewelry with one hand and the tester with the other.

  • For loose stones: Place the stone on the metal rest and hold the rest while testing.

  • Make sure your fingers touch the metal side plates on the tester to complete the electrical circuit.

• Wait for "READY": Allow ~20 seconds after powering on for the green light to stop blinking.

• Use light, steady pressure: Let the tip retract against the stone — don’t press too hard.

• Let stones cool between tests: Repeated testing may heat the stone and affect results.
