Shipping to Australia

Australian lapidary clubs, gem cutters, jewellers and gemologists have bought from our Bangkok showroom for many years. We ship diamond saw blades, polishing powders, laps, loupes, tweezers and full gemological instruments to Australia regularly. Here is how it works.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders leave Bangkok within 5 business days. Courier shipments (DHL, UPS, FedEx or TNT) usually arrive within about a week of dispatch; Thai Post EMS is slower, typically two to three weeks. These are typical times, not guarantees.

Carriers

We select the carrier by weight, destination and order value. Prefer a specific carrier? Tell us in your order notes and we will confirm before dispatch.

GST and duties

Australia applies 10% GST to imported goods. For orders over AUD 1,000, GST and any applicable duty are assessed at the border and collected by the carrier before delivery. Many tools and instruments enter duty free under Australian tariff concessions, but GST still applies. For current rules check the Australian Border Force, or ask us and we will help you estimate before you order.

Prices and payment

Prices are listed in Thai Baht (THB). Your card issuer converts the charge to Australian dollars at its current rate. Exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout before you pay.

We dispatch within 5 business days. Courier services usually deliver within about a week after dispatch; EMS postal service typically takes two to three weeks.

Do I pay GST on orders from Sachi Tools?
